Dahinter steckt, wie üblich, nichts. Sie sollen nur dazu verführt werden, die angebliche PDF-Datei im Anhang (gelb markiert) anzuklicken. Tun Sie das nicht! Löschen Sie den Quatsch.
Es handelt sich genauer gesagt um eine ZIP-Datei (um die Mail-Virenscanner zu täuschen), in deren Inneren sich eine angebliche PDF-Datei befindet. Die sieht beim Auspacken auch wirklich wie eine normale PDF-Datei aus, weil Windows wie üblich alles ausblendet, was helfen könnte, den Betrug zu entlarven.
Über Rechte Maustaste / Eigenschaften sieht man dann aber, dass es eben doch eine EXE-Datei ist, ergo eine "Anwendung", in diesem Fall ein Download-Trojaner, der irgendwas schädliches nachlädt:
